(SOCIETY) Ep 043 - Solving the PPE shortages in the healthcare industry with 3-D PPE GTHA
In this episode, we speak to Maham and Kay from the 3D PPE GTHA team which is a grassroots, student-led initiative that aims to provide 3D-printed personal protective equipment (PPE) to front-line healthcare workers.
These students aim to help alleviate the gap between the supply and demand of PPE in the Greater Toronto, Hamilton, Niagara, and Waterloo Areas by providing 3D printed face shields.
With over 150+ 3-D printers in their network and 66 healthcare organizations requesting PPE, 3-D PPE has been able to donate more than 15,000 face shields until now!
